A MESSAGE TO TEACHERS AND STAFF FROM THE MORRIS AREA ARTS BOOSTERS
For those new to the District, the Morris Area Arts Boosters exists to provide funding for arts enrichment opportunities for the students in the Morris School District. Since 2004, we have awarded over $70,000 for various programs in music, dance, theater, visual and literary arts. Our main revenue sources are the annual Arts Festival & Carnival in the spring and memberships in our 501(c)3 organization. After a three year hiatus, we are happy to announce that our Arts Festival & Carnival will return Saturday, April 15, 2023!
We have monies available and will take funding requests from district teachers and designated staff. Funding request forms are available in the MAES office, MAHS office and the School District office. We have a cubby in both the Elementary and High Schools, where forms can be found and completed forms turned in. Forms may also be given to any of the Board Members listed below. You may also request an electronic form by contacting our President, Marshall Hoffman, at hoffmanmarshall@gmail.com. He can also answer questions about submission guidelines and offer advice on possible projects.
The Arts Boosters have a monthly board meeting during the academic year where we discuss all funding requests. For those interested, there are seats open to serve on the Board – and we always need volunteers to help with the carnival.
We are here to serve you and your students. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to enrich our students. Funding requests will be accepted throughout the academic year.
